1. Legislative Update:
2. Regents Legislative Public Policy Conference:
The medical profession occupied the conference. Corporate practice was discussed and opposed. Legal practice was a big topic. At issue was to have the State Education Dept. levy fines on legal practice rather than the Attorney General. This will be hot topic for Lobby Day 2000.
3. The Flyer and Poster Project:
Second mailings was to Town Supervisors. The first mailing sent to the Building Officials was a better group. An annual mailing to Building Officials is being considered annually. The Council's Web site address will be added to flyer.
4. Listing of Member/Member Firm Specialties:
The Council is getting calls for listing of specialty firms. It was felt that a member/member firm specialties list would be a good "PR" tool. The following tasks are to be done:
5. SED Publications:
Work is still in progress.
6. CEU's:
CLARB is looking at setting up a CEU clearinghouse and would handle the administrative services for States. The Council is obtaining Architect's CEU legislative requirement for review.
New Business
1. Officers:
Election of officers needs to take place. Dan Wojcik will be unable to stay on as President. Council members thanked Dan for his service. The other officers stated that they would serve at the pleasure of the Board. Kim Mathews will work with other Board and contact the Chapters for Presidential candidates.
2. Licensing Package:
A licensing package prepared by ASLA National was handed out for information.
